In Lucien, water, electricity, and light come together in an installation that plays with what you think you understand. Water transports movement, light reveals that movement. This combination evokes a sense of life and unpredictability, in a rhythm that seems just out of reach.
Lucien was commissioned by Into the Great Wide Open, with support from the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.
Materials: Water, led, custom waterpumps, acrylic, induction electronics.
